This role requires strong leadership. The Head of Development and Construction we are seeking is a seasoned development /construction executive who will take full ownership, responsibility and accountability for a large project pipeline.

This is an exciting private business that requires a hands-on leader with strong attention to detail; combined with the ability to deal with a large volume of projects simultaneously. You will be involved with the entire property life cycle; your focus and attention will need to shift daily. Key Responsibilities will include

• Managing a vast number of development and construction projects, namely D&C, Direct Build and 3rd party project management
• Oversee a small to medium sized team of state-based Project Managers and a Drafting/Design team
• Develop and maintain organisation/departmental management plans, detailing all works currently under management
• Ensuring planning outcomes are delivered as expeditiously as possible; whilst ensuring that construction tenders and contracts are managed in parallel
• Understand legal contracts and work with internal legal counsel to drive risk mitigation strategies

About You

• A strong track record of managing a national portfolio of both D&C projects and 3rd party build projects
• Experience or exposure to New Build Service stations highly regarded
• 15+ years of Senior Management experience in the development/construction sector
• High level of attention to detail, managing and overseeing a number of projects simultaneously
• Ability to manage a large volume of internal and external stakeholders
• Formal qualifications in development/construction, coupled with a strong track record of multi-site development
