Hiring: Cybersecurity Engineer

Cyber83 Australia is looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team.

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into cybersecurity or build hands-on experience across both SOC operations and technical security engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• -Monitor security alerts and events
• Investigate potential threats and incidents
• Assist with incident response and escalation
• Support day-to-day SOC operations
• Work with and support security tools (EDR, SIEM, AV, PAM, etc.)
• Assist with deployment, configuration, and tuning of security solutions
• Support firewall, endpoint, and network security configurations
• Perform system, network, and security troubleshooting
• Assist with basic automation and scripting tasks

Requirements:

• CompTIA A+ (Preference)
• Currently studying or planning to complete Network+ (N+) or Security+ (S+) [Essential]
• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and system administration
• Strong interest in cybersecurity operations and technical implementation

Nice to have:

• Exposure to EDR, SIEM, firewalls, AV, or PAM solutions
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python)
• Lab or home cybersecurity projects
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux administration
